Festa Italiana

As a proud Italian-American, I had highly anticipated this event. When we arrived the lights, mood, breeze and music were the perfect setting for the evening, whether a family or lovebirds seeking an evening of romance.

A Review of the book "Life Touches Life: A Mother’s Story of Stillbirth and Healing"

Ash’s 174 page story is so personal and heartfelt that the reader experiences the emotional journey with her. It avoided the clichés that professionals recite. Life Touches Life, is a must read for any woman, or family member, who has had their world shattered by stillbirth.

A Review of Wahclella Falls, Columbia River Gorge.

The lower and most easily visible segment of the falls stands 60 feet in height. It pours out of a narrow gorge. This portion is the longest drop in the falls.

Meet The Multi- talented Actress and Producer Carolena Sabah

For those of you not familiar with her work, she has appeared in Knuckle Draggers, Waist Deep, Futball – The Price of Dreaming, as well as, starred in Irangeles, Don’t Gag Me, and The Witch of Portobello trailer for the Experimental Witch Project. Her film for the Witch of Portobello will make its World Premiere at the Rome Film Festival in October.

India Festival 2009

The weather had afforded a beautiful day for the celebration. The square was already packed with those seated and viewing the dance floor. Dance troops of little girls and adults alike took their turns on the roped off stage showing off the dance skills, clothing, make-up and accessories that are native to their culture. The most adorable moment of the day came as me made our way past the stage heading towards the amphitheatre type seating area.

Kumoricon

We saw a group of girls parading through the area with the most intriguing costumes. They had successfully peaked my curiosity. I had to know why they were so intricately decked out. They patiently explained that Kumoricon, an anime convention, was September 5-7, 2009, at the Hilton Executive Tower. The elfin type character produced a grin as she proclaimed, “We’re here early to get a lay of the land.”

A Review of KahNeeTah Camp Ground, Resort and Casino Warm Springs, Oregon

Some might think we were insane, but my friend and I took a grand total of seven kids a for a short camping trip; ages 17, three yes three 11 year olds, a 10 year old, a 6 year old and a 4 year old.  We left Portland and drove about 1 ½ hours east on hwy 26 to Kah-nee-tah, Resort and Casino, in Warm Springs, Oregon.
