Kasey L. Baley
Kasey Lynn Baley passed away at 2:30am in a tragic automobile accident on Friday, June 11, 2010, at the tender age of 22. Kasey was a young and vivacious woman who was rarely seen without a beaming smile on her face. Kasey was born in Madison, Wisconsin, on June 24, 1987. She graduated from La Follette high school, in 2005.
Baley was an employee of Zimbrick Inc. for the last three years. She enjoyed being the first person a customer saw when they came through the door. She loved to make people smile. She adoreded body art and piercings, and prudly bore 15 tattoos. Kasey had recently realized that higher education is a must. So, she had just prepared to go back to school. She wasn't sure what degree she wanted to pursue, but she knew that she wanted to better herself.
Kasey's great love's included: her parents Deanne and Dean Baley, her sister Bobby, and her fiancé, Joe Solem. Kasey was a Honda and Acura enthusiast. Kasey enjoyed living life to the fullest and thrived on adrenaline. She enjoyed tandem skydiving, driving (especially fast like her Dad), and laughing. Kasey's was passionate about animal rights and made regular trips to the shelters to give the animals love and affection. Her dreams included marrying the love of her life, Joe and of being a mother, to an envisioned son.
She left behind so many who will always miss her. Kasey presence is already missed intensely and there have been several memorials already held in her honor. There was a memorial service held at Gunderson Funeral Home in Madison, Wisconsin, on June 21st. Seven Hills Skydiving of Madison, held a Sunset Sky Memorial in her remembrance. There has been a Facebook memorial page created and dedicated in her honor. Madison International Speedway held a 23 lap feature in her honor on June 25th. The following poem is written by Marion Flores. Dedicated to Kasey Baley and Deborah Cornell, I miss you both.
Lost Forever I Fear
A daughter, a sister, a wife, a friend so dear, lost forever I fear.
Grieving parents who ever lovingly did rear.
A loss, a loss they will forever know,
Broken hearts now forever will show.
For in your pain you are not alone.
Left now with only memories to recall.
Stop missing you we will never.
Her face so tender, in our hearts we will always remember.
But for now, to the grief we must surrender.
A loss, a loss we will forever know, broken hearts now forever will show.
And your Mother and Father, oh how they will miss
Never again giving you a hug and kiss.
Sympathies, services, hugs and tears, are all that’s left to complete her precious years.
An ending not fit for a daughter, a sister, a wife, a friend so dear.
Grieving, we must then be left only with tears.
A loss, a loss we will forever know, broken hearts now forever will show.
But, moving on and learning to trust, forever in their maker they must.
The pain for now, make it through, if you can just.
I will pray to my maker, for peace from your Savior.
